EN - Automatically start-up slideshow

Question
How to start a slideshow automatically when the computer starts?

Answer
To automatically start a slide-show when a pc starts up, you have to make it the default page that opens up in fullscreen on start-up.
This works only if the Work-IT service is running on a different pc than the slide-show is running on.
Keep in mind we also have to disable Windows Login for this to work.

Follow these steps:

1. Navigate to your slide-shows on the browser 'Google Chrome', and make sure to remember password when logging in.
The url should be like this: http://' Work-IT IP or localhost' /workitservice/client/billboardit/

2. Select the slide-show you would like to have as a default on start-up and once it is loaded, copy the URL.

3. Then select the three dots in the upper right corner of 'Google Chrome', and go to 'Settings' and then select 'On startup'.

4. Once inside the 'On startup' menu, select 'Open a specific page or set of pages'. Then hit 'Add a new page' and paste the earlier copied link here.

5. Now close 'Google Chrome' and open it up again, then the slide-show should open up.
If a log-in is needed again make sure to save password when the prompt pops up.

6. Search for the 'Google Chrome' shortcut, this is usually on the desktop. If it isn't there, then search for 'Google Chrome' in the search bar of your computer and right-click to select 'Open file location'.

7. Then when you see the 'Google Chrome' short-cut file, simply copy this.

8. Now press the 'Windows icon' button and 'R' on the same time and notice a window popping up. Here type in 'shell:Startup' and a folder opens up.
Everything inside this folder opens once the computer starts.

9. Paste the 'Google Chrome' shortcut here and right-click it to go to 'properties' and then go to the 'Shortcut' tab.

10. Then in the 'Target:' line add the following:'--start-fullscreen'. And then select 'OK'.

11. Test if this works by simply double clicking 'Google Chrome' inside its start folder and it should open up the slide-show in fullscreen.
Press F11 to exit fullscreen mode.

12. If the Windows startup of your computer doesn't require a log-in, then you are done with this article, otherwise follow the steps below to disable the log-in.

Follow these steps to disable the Windows login on startup, if these steps don't work please consult your IT.

1. Search for 'netplwiz' on your Windows search bar and open it.

2. Disable 'Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.'
