Question

How can I calibrate an spirator box?

 Answer

Watch the video below how to calibrate the aspirator box:

The calibration must be done in Access level: Service.

1. Double click on Aspirators

2. Select the aspirator box you want to calibrate
3. Click OK

4. Click the Measure & Actuate tab
5. Open the setting "greenhouse temperature: measurement aspirator (I/O)"

6. If needed, you can fill in a correction (positive or negative)

Alternative way of checking the greenhouse temperature

In the video above you can see the best way to check/calibrate the temperature of the aspirator box,
Using an aluminium calibration block and a calibrated temperature meter.

If you have a calibrated handmeter (accuracy 0,1 °C) for temperature then you can use this also.
It has to fit in the aspirator box (position A in the picture below) and check temperature with the lid closed !
If it doesn't fit in the aspirator box, then you can hold the handmeter in the inlet of the aspirator box (position D in the picture below).
Also the outlet can be used (position C). But on the aspirator box (position B) is totally wrong.

It is also possible to use a calibrated (accuracy 0,1 °C) mercury thermometer.
This thermometer fits in the little hole at the back of the aspirator box (close the lid).
