How to mount Jumo EC sensors?
See below the general recommendations of Jumo.
1. The ideal mounting:
2. Avoid dead zones or places where air can accumulate:
3. Avoid areas where air can remain. For example, at the end of a pipe:
4. Avoid areas where dirt can remain:
5. Mounting in a vertical pipe is not ideal.
It is possible, but pay attention:
- pipe must be full of liquid
- there must be no air bubbles between the electrodes
Practical example
Line C is the pressure pipe. There is a narrowing so that there is flow over the pipe with measurements for EC, pH and temperature.
The flow goes from A to B. This is the most favorable when we look at the flow direction of the sensor.
If we look at sensor A then we would not advise this as this sensor could over time become full with dirt that settles in the T piece.
If sensor B is deep in the T-piece, it is the best position.
Better solution is: cascading:
