In the context of Next Generation Growing (NGG), curtains are kept closed for longer.
This also makes them more humid. When it is being pulled on a package it often rains because in the last phase of the curtain opening the curtain is, as it were, wrung out.
If the plants get wet, this can increase the disease pressure and this is not what we want.
How do you set a dry state of the curtain?
This 'raining out' can easily be prevented by not pulling the curtain directly together, but first setting it to 10 to 15% to let it dry first before pulling it on package.
The example below shows how you can first open 3 small steps and then leave the curtain on a dry position for a while. In step 4, the curtain only opens completely.
If you do not want the dry position, simply set the number of steps to 3, this will not activate the dry state.
