Work-IT requirements

EN - System requirements of Work-IT

What are the system requirements of Work-IT?

To install and run Work-IT there are some system requirements. Below you find the minimum system requirements, the Work-IT server requirements and the requirements of the Work-IT client.

System requirements

The following system requirements apply:

  1.    Workstations (PC’s) on which Work-IT is used must be connected to a central database PC or server in the same network.
  2.    We advise to install the database of Work-IT on a server which is always online and will not be used as a workstation.
  3.    For support it is necessary that we can reach PC’s and database by remote desktop. We are using Teamviewer for remote sessions.
  4.    We configure a back-up, after configuring the back-up it’s the responsibility of the customer to check and distribute the back-up.
  5.    We cannot be held responsible for disruptions in the network of the customer.

System requirements Work-IT Server

The following system requirements apply to the Work-IT server:

System requirements Winforms Work-IT Client (In the same network connected with the server)

The following system requirements apply to the Work-IT Winforms client:

If there is no separate server and the operating computer and the database are the same computer, in this case use the server hardware requirements in combination with the Work-IT Client Software requirements.
For support purposes we strongly recommend installation of Windows , Microsoft and components in English
For managers and planners we advise to use a 24'' monitor or larger.

  1. Our system requirements are based on physical server and not on cloud, in general for Windows Server/SQL Server to have equal specification.
  2. Communicating through a VPN tunnel to the Work-IT service and database will only work proper with a terminal server, Operating a Work-IT client through an VPN tunnel is not recommended and not supported.
  3. Direct connection between cloud and local client we do not recommend.
  4. The setup of a terminal server and which requirements is needed will need to be determined by a local IT company, unfortunately we’re not able to advise on this.
