IIVO - Set up CO2 controls

IIVO - Set up CO2 controls

Configuration

Below is a visualization of the CO2 configuration.
CO2 can be supplied by the boiler or CHP5 or CHP6.
Outside air can be mixed in.
Industrial CO2 and liquid CO2 are injected.

CO2 strategy

Most important settings are highlighted in yellow:

The minimum and maximum CO2 settings allow you to switch the CO2 dosing on and off.
Enter the following settings to enable dosing:
  1. area supply on e.g. 1500 m²
  2. CO2 control release set to ON
  3. maximum CO2 at e.g. 800 ppm
  4. minimum CO2 at e.g. 500 ppm
  5. unit: influence supply off set to 100
  6. unit: influence supply on set to 100
Influence of dosing on is now calculated at 100 because the measured CO2 is lower than the minimum CO2:

CO2 unit

Most important settings are highlighted:

The unit has received a release request because the measured CO2 is lower than the minimum CO2.
CO2 dosing is based on the number of kg of CO2 per hour per hectare (kg/h/ha).
The customer sets a CO2 demand of, for example, 200 kg/h/ha with a maximum of 300 kg/h/ha.

Various suppliers can be connected to the CO2 manifold, such as boiler, CHP and Industrial CO2.
Because the CO2 sequence manifold et al. setting is set to 1, these suppliers are the first to supply CO2.

CO2 manifold

Boiler CO2

Most important settings are highlighted:

Enter the following settings to enable dosing:
  1. CO2 control: maximum capacity at, for example, 400 m³/h
  2. CO2 control: sequence when boiler is not on for energy at 0
  3. CO2 control: sequence when boiler is on for energy at 1
  4. CO2 on: fan unit on at ON (already set to ON by default)
  5. position 1: burner position at 0%
  6. position 1: capacity at 0 m³/h
  7. position 2: burner position at 100%
  8. position 2: capacity at e.g. 300 m³/h
  9. actuation: realizer on measured based (also under tab CONTROLS)
  10. boiler release: watch allocated gas to OFF (in the first instance)
As soon as the boiler on: detection becomes active, the boiler will produce CO2 depending on the burner positiong.

CHP CO2

Most important settings are highlighted:

Enter the following settings to enable dosing:
  1. CO2 on: fan unit on at ON (already set to ON by default)
  2. CO2 control: sequence when CHP is on set to 2
  3. release CO2 dosing set to ON
  4. linearization point 1: elektric power on 0 kW
  5. linearization point1: gas on 0 m³/h
  6. linearization point 2: elektric power on e.g. 1000 kW
  7. linearization point 2: gas on e.g. 200 m³/h
  8. electrical power demand on e.g. 800 kW
  9. release: setting to ON (to switch on CHP so that CO2 can be produced)
  10. CHP: release: watch allocated gas to OFF  (in the first instance)
As soon as the CO2 on: detection becomes active, the CHP will supply CO2.

Industrial CO2

Most important settings are highlighted:

Enter the following settings to enable dosing:
  1. CO2 on: fan unit on at ON (already set to ON by default)
  2. CO2 sequence when released is set to 3 (compared to, for example, boiler and CHP)
  3. release to ON
  4. CO2 maximum capacity at, for example, 400 kg/h
  5. position 1: capacity at 0 kg/h
  6. position 1: valve position at 0%
  7. position 2: capacity at e.g. 360 kg/h
  8. position 2: valve position at 100%
If CO2 is available, a valve position will be calculated.
The valve is sent to the correct position and the current CO2 capacity can be read.

CO2 injection

Most important settings are highlighted:

Enter the following settings to enable dosing:
  1. Set CO2 sequence for unit when released to 2
  2. maximum capacity to 300 kg/h
  3. release to ON
  4. position 1: capacity at 0 kg/h
  5. position 1: valve position at 0%
  6. position 2: capacity at e.g. 300 kg/h
  7. position 2: valve position at 100%
Because the CO2 sequence is set to 2, the CO2 from the suppliers on the CO2 manifold will be given priority.
If these suppliers cannot deliver or cannot deliver sufficiently, the liquid CO2 is ultimately activated.

A CO2 dosage is now calculated.

Liquid CO2

Most important settings are highlighted in yellow:

If the level in the CO2 tank becomes too low, the alarm is activated and dosing via liquid CO2 stops.

Order of CO2 suppliers

In the examples above, the CO2 suppliers are set up in the following order:
