How to set the pump/valve flow alarm

Answer:

  1.  Browse to 'Hoogendoorn / Control water / Valves / Valvgroup 1 (2, 3 or 4) / tab alarms'. The average flow and the permitted deviation must be set correctly. After a number of correct irrigation cycles the average flow can be read on the 'Measure & Actuate' tab.
  2. Browse to 'Hoogendoorn / Control water / Water supply unit / Pump / tab alarms'. The delay time of a flow alarm can be set. Don't make it too long.
  3. Browse to 'Hoogendoorn / Control water / Crop section / Crop section control / tab alarms'. Here it is set which action should be take place as soon as a flow alarm occurs. A flow alarm occurs as soon as the flow deviates more than the permitted deviation for longer than the set delay time. By default, the pump stops at a flow alarm, by switching on the checkmarks it can be chosen to be alarmed but the pump will not be stopped. The advice is to always stop the pump for a flow alarm out of safety for crop or installation damage.
