Question

How to install this sensor.

 Answer 

Take a look to the attached installation manual.

It is possible to use the temperature measurement of this silo pressure sensor. This method is not supported by Hoogendoorn.
In the delivery should be a silo pressure sensor and a special programmed transmitter with cable compensation and which is able to transform the PT1000 signal to a 4-20mA signal. Like the one on the picture bellow.



In this type of pressure sensors are two measurements inside.
1. Measure the pressure of the water column above the sensor with a 4-20mA signal.
2. Measure the water temperature with a PT1000 signal.


The pressure sensor can be linked in the software in different ways:
- as a level measurement
- as a silo measurement

Level measurement

The adjustment of the sensor is as follows:

1. Double-click Level tray



2. Select the level measurement that you want to calibrate
3. Click OK



4. Click on the Measure & Actuate tab
5. Open the setting "level tray water level: measurement (I/O)"




Place the sensor on the bottom of a bucket with 20 cm of water



6. Read the gross measurement
7. Enter this value in the "minimum gross measurement" setting




Place the sensor on the bottom of the filled silo



8. Read the gross measurement
9. Enter this value in the "maximum gross measurement" setting




Silo measurement

The adjustment of the sensor is as follows:

1. Double-click Silo



2. Select the silo measurement that you want to calibrate
3. Click OK



4. Click on the Measure & Actuate tab
5. Open the "level measurement" setting




Place the sensor on the bottom of a bucket with 20 cm of water



6. Read the gross measurement
7. Enter this value in the "minimum gross measurement" setting



Place the sensor on the bottom of the filled silo


8. Read the gross measurement
9. Enter this value in the "maximum gross measurement" setting
