How to use Microsoft Visio shapes for visualizations?

To make drawing a visualization's background easier there are standard shapes available.
Click here to download the ISII Shapes.
After downloading the shapes, they can be imported into Microsoft Visio.

Pay attention: 
.vss files for Microsoft Visio 2003-2010
.vssx files for Microsoft Visio 2010-2016

1. Click on 'View'
2. Click on 'Task'
3. Click on 'Shapes'


4. Click on 'More Shapes'
5. Click on 'My Shapes'
6. Click on 'Organize my shapes'


7. Browse to the folder 'Downloads'. Unzip the downloaded file
8. Copy the unzipt file to the in step 6 opened folder
9. Click on 'More Shapes'
10. Click on 'My Shapes'
11. Click on 'ISII Shapes' to use the just imported shapes

 
12. The shapes can now be used in a drawing.
