I have a curtain installed and I want to use it for shading to protect the crop.
How do I make the right settings?




 Answer 

First select the shading option in the general settinglist of the curtain:

 
Then go to the settinglist with the shading settings of the curtain and define the settings to close the curtain for shading:

  1. Close on radiation: The level of radiation when the curtain must close
  2. Open on radiation deviation: The deviation between the setpoint to close and the level to open again
  3. Radiation delay time open: The delay time before opening after the level of radiation is below the setpoint 
As an example, with the settings from the list above the curtain will: 
  • Close when the radiation is higher than 500 W/m2
  • Open when the radiation is lower than 400 W/m2 AND the delay time of 15 minutes has expired
Please note that with these settings we haven't defined the curtain position. Usually if a curtain is used for shading the curtain position depends on the specifications of the curtain. For example, a curtain specially designed for shading can be closed for 100%.
