Question
I have a curtain installed and I want to make the settings to save energy.
How do I make the right settings?

 Answer

First select the energy option in the general settinglist of the curtain:

Then go to the settinglist with the energy settings of the curtain and define the settings to close the curtain to save energy:

  1. Outside temperature close: The outside temperature when the curtain must close
  2. Outside temperature deviation open: The deviation between the setpoint outside temperature close and the level to open again
  3. Radiation close: The radiation level to close the curtain
  4. Radiation open: The radiation level to open the curtain
As an example, with the settings from the list above the curtain will:
  • Open when there is more than 100 W/m2 OR the outside temperature is higher than 10 + 2 = 12˚C.
  • Close when the outside temperature is below 10˚C AND the radiation is lower than 50W/m2.

Please note that with these settings we haven't defined the curtain position. Usually if a curtain is used to save energy the curtain is closed completely (so 100%). However, if the temperature or relative humidity is too high a crack is set. Read this article to see: How to set a crack in the curtain?
