EN - How can I set up a Uni-Switch cluster coupling
If several iSii process computers are connected to one control-network, it could occur that information have to be exchanged between the iSii process computers which are not standardized by Cluster couplings in the iSii controls. In these cases a Uni-Switch can be used to share this information a uni cluster coupling is used for this. The calculated Uni-Influence can be shared from a Uni-Switch.
Required software per iSii
- 1 Uni-Switch for each calculated uni-influence. So if 1 influence has to be passed, 1 Uni-Switch must be available in both iSii process computers.
1. Browse to the floor plan and find the group number of the Uni-Switch that contains the information that must be sent. Write down this group number, in this explanation we assume that the group number is '5'.
2. Browse to the uni-switch (tab settings) which contains the information which have to be sent and set the 'type of uni-influence' correctly. The calculated uni-influence that is going to be sent is displayed on 'calculated uni-influence'.
3. Browse to the uni-switch (settings tab) on the ISii which receive the information and set the 'type of uni-influence' to 'External input'
4. Browse to the service tab and add the settings 'uni-influence: configuration uni switch (cluster)' and 'uni-influence: group number uni switch (cluster)'.
5. Set the configuration number from the iSii that send the informatie on 'uni-influence: configuration uni switch (cluster)'.
6. Set the group number found in step 1 on 'uni-influence: group number uni switch (cluster)'. (in this case 5).
7. If the Uni-Switch in the two configurations have been set correctly, the status alarm will disappear at 'uni-switch: communication status'.
The retrieved value will be displayed in the receiving iSii as 'Computed uni-influence', which can be used as an influence in various ViP settings.
